RADIESSE™ .8cc is a semi-solid deep and sub-dermal injectable implant that is cohesive, non-pyrogenic, bio-degradable, steam sterilized, and latex-free. RADIESSE™ comes in a syringe with a standard luer fitting, inside a foil pouch and convenient box. RADIESSE™ gel gradually dissipates as it is replaced with soft tissue while the calcium hydroxylapatite in the formula remains at the injection site. In plastic and reconstructive surgery, inject RADIESSE™ into the deep dermis or sub-dermis to augment the soft tissue in the facial area, offering long-term but not permanent restoration of facial volume. Although the amount injected and depth of the injection varies depending on the location and amount of augmentation that is needed, RADIESSE™ should be injected deep enough to prevent nodules from forming near the skin's surface or ischemia of the overlying tissue. As a Class III Medical Device, classified by Annex IX of the MDD, RADIESSE™ should only be administered by medical personnel authorized by local regulations.
