BELOTERO® BALANCE with Lidocaine is an injectable, sterile gel that is non-pyrogenic, viscoelastic, transparent, and colorless. BELOTERO® BALANCE with Lidocaine is made of cross-linked sodium hyaluronate from non-animal sources in a phosphate buffer. The cross-linked structure helps BELOTERO® BALANCE with Lidocaine resist degrading within the skin tissue and it will absorb slowly over time. The Lidocaine within the BELOTERO® BALANCE formula helps to improve patient comfort, reducing local pain from the injection. BELOTERO® BALANCE with Lidocaine is an injectable filler doctors use to increase the volume of skin tissue, for applications such as filling wrinkles, correcting scars, and moderately enhancing volume in areas such as the lips. You should inject BELOTERO® BALANCE with Lidocaine into the superficial to mid-dermis using a technique such as linear retrotracing, anterotracing also called the push ahead technique, serial punctual injections, multi-puncture, micro-papular injection, cross-hatching also called the blanket technique, blanching, or fan distribution. If you use a 30G1/2" needle you will need to use more force injecting the gel than with a 27G1/2" needle, so the manufacturers recommend you use the needles included in the package.
